The data, known as surveillance data, so represented the cases collected by the information agencies. It helped in tracking the overall cases and spread of infection.
Although the total number of hospitalizations and deaths represent the expanse of the disease, which has showcased a vivid picture of rising emergency room admission rates and the death count too, appeared to shoot up recently, as the statement by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) revealed.

Mutating variants of COVID-19
COVID-19, along with its mutating branches, has appeared to possess a chain of predictable seasons, which make a large jump in the number of cases during winter months and while a smaller increases in the summer.
Moreover, as experts note, cases are reportedly increasing in the summer months, too.
However, the people of the US are not facing the risk nearly as much as the scenario during a pandemic. It is because of vaccine output and prior information and knowledge of the spread of infection that more and more people remain protected, as USA Today reported.
However, as per the experts, people must not be negligent of the spread now, as in 2023, almost 75 thousand people had died from COVID-19, and almost a million people ended up in hospitals.
